Today is the day I decided to commit to contiuing this blog, but not for me or my friends... for my little girl. I want Maddie to have a living journal of her Momma. So that when my time comes, she will have a bunch of stories and pieces of our lives together that she can hold onto forever.
Today is November 8, 2010. Maddie and I called up her Auntie Chell and asked her to come to Toys R Us (TRU) with us. Auntie Chell is due anyday (was due 4 days ago actually) but will be having her sweet baby boy, Maddie's first cousin, any day now. So today we went to TRU to get Chell out of the house, get us out of the house and have a nice little afternoon together. Our trip to TRU was spurred by my discovery of "Squinkies" - and the decision that Maddie needed a few of these little cutie toys in her life... or at least when she stopped eating or chewing on EVERYTHING... they are technically a choking hazard for her at the moment. :P While at the store Maddie discovered a tiny eagle plushie, one that would fit in the palm of her hand. She immediately ripped it from it's packaging (OH NO!!) so we knew right off we were buying it. :) She oohed and aawwed and cooed at it like she does her regular sized eagles at home. :) She carried it around while riding in the cart - then, near the end of our trip to TRU I suddenly discover it's MISSING! :((( We search the entire store 3 times over, have several employees looking for us and no one can find it. We're pretty sure another little kiddo picked it up. It was the only one they had. :( So now I'm hunting online for a tiny eagle for M for Christmas.
Speaking of Christmas - so far we've gotten her a dolly, a package of sea-life squinkies and a pair of Christmas PJs. I hope she loves them!!
